TRAFFICKEEP

GitHub deletes your repository traffic data after 14 days. TrafficKeep silently runs in your browser, saving daily snapshots of your views, visitors, and clones to build a lifetime history locally. No server, no account, no setup.

01 / The Problem

THE 14-DAY
EXPIRATION DATE.

Views, unique visitors, clones, and referrers — GitHub deletes all of it after 14 days. There is no setting to change it, and no way to export it after the fact. If you weren't manually copying stats into a spreadsheet every week, your repository growth details are gone forever.

Other services fix this by asking you to sign up for their platform and authorize their servers to fetch your data, storing your credentials and repository analytics in their cloud databases. We think your traffic logs should remain private to you.

02 / Features

PRESERVE &
ANALYZE STATS.

Automatic Snapshots

The extension fetches and archives views, unique visitors, and clones quietly in the background before GitHub's 14-day window rolls over.

Unlimited History

Build a complete, perpetual timeline. Keep 30 days, 90 days, a year, or lifetime historical logs without losing a single visitor metric.

Compare Side-by-Side

Track and compare the performance of multiple repositories concurrently on a single unified analytical dashboard chart.

Data Portability

Your stats belong to you. Export your lifetime repository traffic history anytime as clean CSV or JSON files with a single click.

Zero Server Logs

No login, no database, and no middleman. The extension only talks directly to the official GitHub API. All data lives in your browser's local storage.

Open Source

Full transparency. Read the complete codebase on GitHub to audit security and logic before installing it with your Personal Access Token.

03 / Privacy Policy

PRIVACY-FIRST
PHILOSOPHY.

TrafficKeep is designed under the belief that developer tool utility should never come at the cost of data harvesting or telemetry tracking.

Local Storage Isolation

Your GitHub Personal Access Token (PAT) is stored exclusively in chrome.storage.local on your physical device. It never leaves your browser. If you uninstall the extension, all saved tokens, repository indices, and traffic logs are permanently wiped instantly.

FREE.
FOREVER.

No premium tier, no paywalled date ranges, and no ads. 100% open source.
